“Rob Zombie Presents” will feature several never-before-released film soundtracks personally selected by the singer, songwriter, and filmmaker. Up first is, fittingly, the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP for 1932’s White Zombie. In a perfect matchup, Rob Zombie and Waxwork Records have partnered to release an exclusive, curated line of classic horror movie soundtracks. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT 2020 COULDN’T GET ANY WEIRDER… The Social Network and Quake are available on vinyl and shipping NOW! Who had that on their 2020 bingo card? Not to worry though, as in the now-deleted tweet, Trent had asked fans to respect said publisher’s wishes “by not clicking here to even see the essays, or here to print the booklet out yourself.” However, its inclusion was blocked by said video game publisher. In fact, the vinyl release was to be accompanied by a booklet of essays from two of Quake‘s developers, id Software’s John Carmack and American McGee. Part of the issue with the delay might stem from issues related to “a certain unnamed video game publisher”, as Trent said in a now-deleted tweet. It’s unknown as to why the soundtrack is getting a vinyl release now, but who’s complaining? Well, leave it to Trent to fulfil your wish, as he tweeted out today that Quake will be receiving a vinyl release, courtesy of the Nine Inch Nails’ store. And while the soundtrack was available right on the CD for PC, certain audiophiles have longed for a vinyl release. ![]() It was kind of a big deal back in 1996 when Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor (well, NiN is Trent, but I digress) teamed up with id Software to score their revolutionary FPS, Quake.
